*    If you want to help out with a particular event annually, you can contact the volunteer office for the details.

*    If you would like to become a registered volunteer and participate more regularly, it is easy to do.  Just dowload the application packet below and contact Susan Heims, Volunteer Coordinator, to become a registered volunteer.  This requires a 20-30 minute orientation, completed application packet, annual TB testing, and fingerprint clearance with our security office.

The Veterans Home in Yountville offers many opportunities to get involved in community service!! 

We have more than 300 registered volunteers who come here either weekly, monthly or annually to assist in a variety of ways, including:

  1. Office work (answering phones, filing, making fliers, writing thank you letters)
  2. Visiting, reading, writing letters, playing games or cards with home members
  3. Supporting recreation and activity programs
  4. Helping with special events
  5. Supporting our Chaplain services
  6. Income Tax Assistance
  7. Providing labor for property department or special projects at the Home
  8. Escorting Home Members who need assistance to get outdoors Groundskeeping and gardening
