We started out in 1990 producing video commercials for businesses on some of the first high-end Macintoshes producing S-VHS marketing tapes for clients. That experience led us to become experts in configuring networks and problem-solving software issues. In 1993 Digital Sight and Sound opened MacNetworks, an Apple Value-Added Reseller with expertise in both hardware and software needs, supporting all types of media business. Focusing on Desktop Publishing and Graphic-based business clients, we expanded into certified warranty service for Apple's hardware as well as other vendors.

In 2006, Digital Sight and Sound opened Streaming Security Systems to support our customers' video surveillance needs. Streaming Security Systems specializes in advanced IP (Internet Protocol) surveillance systems design and installation. One of the strong advantages of IP surveillance is its ability to be viewed from any computer in the world over the internet.

More recently satellite use for internet access has become a reality and many of our Northern California clients can only get high speed internet via a satellite. To support our clients who do not have access to cable or normal DSL service. MacNetworks has become a Wildblue Satellite Dealer and installer to enable both its custmers and Streaming customers to have access to high speed internet.
